Three days in Agadir is the sweet spot — long enough to see the city properly, explore the surrounding landscape, and squeeze in a day trip, but short enough to keep the pace relaxed and enjoyable. Whether you’re on a package holiday with a few days to fill, or making Agadir the centrepiece of a longer Morocco trip, this Agadir itinerary gives you the best possible three days — day by day, morning to evening.
We’ve been running tours and excursions in Agadir since 2011, so everything in this guide is based on what our guests actually enjoy most — not what looks good on a travel website.
Before you arrive: things to book in advance
A few of the best experiences in this 3-day Agadir itinerary sell out fast in peak season. Before you arrive, we recommend booking:
- Paradise Valley day trip — most popular tour, fills up days in advance in summer
- Hot air balloon ride — limited spots, book at least a week ahead June–August
- Camel ride at sunset — the 6pm slot books out first
- Airport transfer — avoid taxi queues, have a driver waiting when you land
All can be booked online at Ecolodge Adventures before you travel.
Day 1: Arrive, settle in, and feel the city
Your first day in Agadir is all about orientation — getting your bearings, hitting the beach, and easing into the Moroccan rhythm at a relaxed pace.
Morning: the beach and promenade
Head straight to Agadir’s legendary beach. At nearly 9km long and 200 metres wide, it’s one of the finest beaches in North Africa — golden sand, calm Atlantic waves, and a palm-lined promenade with cafes, juice bars, and sunlounger rentals. Walk south from the centre toward the quieter end if you prefer fewer crowds, or stay central for more activity. Spend the morning swimming, sunbathing, and watching the fishermen working the shoreline. This is the perfect low-key start to your 3 days in Agadir.
Afternoon: Souk El Had guided tour
After lunch at one of the beachfront restaurants (try the fresh grilled sardines — they’re caught that morning), head to Souk El Had with one of our local guides. This is one of the largest traditional markets in Morocco and is completely overwhelming to navigate alone. A guided tour takes you through the spice section, the argan oil cooperatives, the leather goods, the handmade Berber textiles, and the fresh produce market — and helps you find genuine products at fair prices rather than tourist-inflated ones. From €20 per person.
Evening: camel ride at sunset
End your first day with one of Agadir’s most iconic experiences — a camel ride along the beach at sunset. The 6pm slot is the most spectacular, as the Atlantic sky turns orange and pink behind you. It takes about 90 minutes including pick-up from your hotel, and leaves you with the kind of photos that make people ask “where was that?” From €22 per person.
Day 2: Paradise Valley — the highlight of any Agadir trip
Day two is your big excursion day. Clear your schedule from morning until early evening — this one is worth every minute.
Full day: Paradise Valley tour from Agadir
Our Paradise Valley day trip from Agadir is consistently our most reviewed and highest-rated experience. The tour picks you up at 8:30am and drives you through the foothills of the High Atlas Mountains — past argan forests, Berber villages, and dramatic rocky gorges — to a hidden palm oasis with crystal-clear natural swimming pools fed by mountain springs.
You’ll spend two to three hours at the valley, swimming in the pools, exploring the gorge on foot, and having a traditional Moroccan lunch of tagine and fresh bread prepared by our team. The drive back gives you golden afternoon light over the mountains. This is the experience most guests say was the highlight of their entire Agadir itinerary. From €22 per person, including hotel pick-up, lunch, and English-speaking guide.
Evening: Agadir Marina and waterfront dinner
After returning from Paradise Valley in the late afternoon, freshen up and head to Agadir Marina for the evening. The marina is lined with seafood restaurants, coffee shops, and bars, all overlooking the yachts and the Atlantic. It’s the most atmospheric spot in the city after dark and a perfect way to round off day two of your 3 days in Agadir.
Day 3: Adventure morning, then your choice of excursion
Your final day mixes adrenaline with exploration. We recommend an active morning activity followed by either a half-day city tour or an afternoon excursion depending on your interests.
Morning: quad biking or buggy safari in the desert
Start day three with the activity our guests keep coming back for. Quad biking in Agadir takes you off-road through the desert landscapes at the foot of the Anti-Atlas Mountains — sandy tracks, open dunes, and dry riverbeds with no traffic and no crowds. No experience necessary. Alternatively, our Agadir buggy biking tour seats two people in an off-road buggy and is especially popular with couples and friends. Both tours run in the morning and include hotel pick-up. From €40–€45 per person.
Afternoon option A: Agadir city tour
If you haven’t yet explored the city itself, our Agadir city tour covers the key highlights — the Oufella Kasbah ruins with panoramic views over the bay, the Valley of the Birds park, the Amazigh Heritage Museum, and the fishing harbour. It includes a guide who brings Agadir’s history and culture to life. From €22 per person.
Afternoon option B: day trip to Taroudant
If you prefer a longer excursion, our Taroudant day trip from Agadir is one of the most underrated experiences in southern Morocco. Often called “Little Marrakech”, Taroudant is a walled medina city just 80km from Agadir — authentic, unhurried, and almost entirely free of mass tourism. You’ll walk the ancient ramparts, explore the souk, and visit a traditional argan oil cooperative on the way back. From €50 per person.
Evening: hammam and traditional dinner
End your three days in Agadir the Moroccan way — with a traditional hammam and massage. A full hammam ritual (steam room, black soap scrub, argan oil massage) takes about 90 minutes and leaves you completely relaxed before your flight or onward journey. Book the early evening slot so you can follow it with a long unhurried dinner of tagine and pastilla at a local restaurant. From €35 per person.
Tips to make the most of your 3 days in Agadir
- Book everything before you arrive. In peak season (June–August), popular tours fill up 3–7 days in advance. Don’t leave it until you land.
- Do outdoor activities in the morning. June through August, the sun is intense by 1pm. Quad biking, camel rides, and hikes are best before noon.
- Use dirhams for markets and street food. Hotels and most tour operators accept cards, but souks and street stalls are cash-only.
- Don’t skip the hammam. Even if you’re not a spa person, the traditional hammam is a cultural experience as much as a wellness treatment. Every guest who tries it says they wish they’d done it on day one.
- Take the camel ride at 6pm, not 10am. The golden-hour light makes the photos extraordinary and the temperature is perfect for riding.
Extending beyond 3 days in Agadir
If you have more time, the hot air balloon ride launches at sunrise and is back by 9am, slotting perfectly before any other activity. Our full-day boat trip can replace Paradise Valley if you prefer the ocean to the mountains. And if you want a full city excursion, our Marrakech day trip from Agadir is an unmissable addition on a fourth or fifth day.
