Your journey to Mhamid Desert Trip From Marrakech 3 days 2 nights will start with a hotel pcik up at At 7:30 a.m., one of our modern minibuses departs Marrakech for Zagora. We carry on to Tamdakhte and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou through the Tizi n Tichka pass. We next proceed to Ouarzazate and Agdez, where you will be treated to panoramic views of the Draa valley.

To get to Tansikht, we walk through the valley, passing by kasbahs and Berber villages. At Zagora, we saddle camels and follow our guides to an actual desert camp, where you can experience the nomadic Bedouin way of life. We eat a typical Berber dinner with mint tea around a campfire while listening to Saharan music. We’re camping in the desert for the night.

We hop into our 4X4 and embark on a Saharan desert trip after witnessing stunning desert dawn over the dunes. Chegaga is home to Morocco’s largest sand dunes, which reach heights of over 300 meters. We then visit the Qoran library and small underground alleyways before continuing on a scenic journey to Mhamid hamlet, the last settlement before the Sahara opens up in front of us.

Before you try your hand at dune walking and sand surfing, we’ll enjoy lunch consisting of a variety of meats and salads, seasonal fruits, and tea. We next return to your 4X4 to journey to Erg Lihoudi in the desert, where we will spend the night in a traditional tent under the stars. Before settling around the fire for a traditional supper, take in the breathtaking sunset over the massive dunes.
