Agadir Souss Massa National Park Excursion
The Souss Massa National Park (which entered the Protected Areas of Morocco in 1991) is located south of Agadir and covers 33,800 hectares between the estuary of the Souss Massa river and the Atlantic Ocean; includes seven villages of Berber tradition and city crossroads of craftsmanship.
It is known all over the world for the presence of particular ornithological specimens, including the famous bald hermit (who lives only here, in the process of repopulation) and other species of ibis, flamingos, white spatula, black-headed tchagra.
The flora varies according to the areas with more or less water: from desert and rocky places, to those with euphorbia and eucalyptus, to the Palmer along the river Massa.
The coast of the Park is diversified: from the endless beaches of sand, to the sheer cliffs, from the harmonious inlets, to the caves carved into the cliffs, a fishermen’s residence.
